Newis SA takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit newis.ch, why we process it, who we share it with, and what rights you can exercise.

It applies in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for visitors located in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data we process

2.1 Contact forms

When you complete a contact or demonstration request form, we process the information you provide: name, e-mail address, phone number, company and the content of your message. This data reaches us through the Web3Forms service, which delivers the message to our info@newis.ch address.

2.2 Audience measurement

With your consent only, we use Google Analytics 4, deployed through Google Tag Manager, to understand how our site is used: pages viewed, time spent, device type, country and referral source. Google Analytics 4 does not store your full IP address; it is truncated before any record is written. No measurement cookie is set until you have accepted.

We use no advertising tools, no retargeting and no commercial profiling.

2.3 Server logs

Our hosting provider automatically records technical logs (IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, browser). These logs serve to keep the site secure and running correctly.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site remains fully usable if you decline audience measurement.

5. Recipients and processors

We do not sell or rent your data. It is shared only with the providers that allow us to operate the site:

  • Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC — audience measurement (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager).
  • Web3Forms — delivery of messages sent through our forms.
  • Infomaniak Network SA (Switzerland) — website hosting.

6. Transfers abroad

Some of these providers may process data outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. Such transfers rely on the safeguards provided by law: the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and, for certified companies, the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework together with its Swiss extension.

7. Retention periods

  • Contact enquiries: kept for as long as your request and any resulting business relationship require, then archived or deleted.
  • Audience measurement data: 14 months at most.
  • Server logs: a few months, according to our host’s settings.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to request restriction, to object to processing, to request portability, and to withdraw your consent to audience measurement at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

To exercise these rights, write to info@newis.ch. We may ask you for proof of identity so that we do not disclose your data to someone else.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Switzerland or, if you live in the European Union, the supervisory authority of your country.

9. Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS and we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
